Why We Can’t Sleep Even When We Are Tired


Getting enough sleep is essential for optimal health and well-being. 

When we do not get adequate sleep the risk of health problems including obesity, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, a weakened immune system, and endocrine disorders increase significantly. A proper sleep is not only important for optimal health, but also aids you in recovering from illness.  Most cellular recovery occurs during sleep and lack of sleep or disrupted sleep patterns can result in incomplete cellular repair leading to further health concerns.
